Supporting Local Businesses

We held a stall at the Small Local Business Event, in the Post Mill Centre, South Normanton.

We gave advice and support. We had some amazing sensory items to sell. We try to find items that are readily available in local shops so parents can access resources that are cost-effective and easy to locate.

We volunteered to dress and run the sensory room on The Hub's Open Day event

We had great fun singing and dancing.

We created a rainforest theme complete with music, action songs and sensory activities.

We relaxed with rainforest music and animal sounds.

Dandelion Project

A collaboration with Ladybrook Enterprises

Presenting our work for the Dandelion Project

We were commissioned to create a transition document to give parents a voice during the transition from Primary to Secondary school. The document collated information about SEN and Pastoral issues.

Feedback from parents and school staff included: "Excellent support tool for tutors" "It meant my daughter was able to access support immediately without a getting to know you period" "I would recommend the process to any parent".

SENDS Workshops

Throughout October we ran workshops on Sensory Processing, Autism, Behaviour Support and Anxiety

Parents engaged in practical experiences, discussion and presentations. We had fun, laughter, serious discussion, tears and hugs.

Parents, grandparents, professionals, school staff and governors attended at the Genesis Centre.

" Easy to understand and lovely trainers"

"Brilliant knowledge and experience delivered in an informal and concise manner"

Coffee Break

Come and join us at Tibshelf Village Hall on 26/03/19 at 12-2pm

Join us for a coffee and a chat and the chance to meet other parents and carers of children with special needs. Your child does not need to have a diagnosis to attend. We will introduce ourselves, our services and share sensory resources that you can make at home. Children are welcome to stay and play! We aim to hold monthly coffee mornings with a different topic each month such as Sensory Stories, Behaviours that challenge and Communication. Attendance is free and refreshments will be available. Hope to see you there.
