We were commissioned to create a transition document to give parents a voice during the transition from Primary to Secondary school. The document collated information about SEN and Pastoral issues.

SENDS Workshops

SENDS Coffee Break

We held our second coffee break in Mansfield at The Hive on Monday 3rd June.


It was great to chat with parents and professionals . Details of our next one to be shared soon.

Promoting change for children with SEND in our local area

Our picture with local Labour councillors, discussing changes needed for SEND in Derbyshire.

This morning we have spoken to our local Labour councillors Jane Yates and Kathryn Salt along with Dennis Skinner MP about improving SEND provision in our local community.

 It was a very positive and encouraging chat with lots of avenues and funding opportunities to explore.  

We had a great night at the D2 Business Starter Programme event, presenting who we are and our plans for the future.

Photos from a recent staff training event in a primary school. Staff were eager to start implementing the strategies with children they had identified as having oral motor or speech and sound production difficulties.

We met lots of new families at 'SENDsational'. A free parent and carers event we organised with Special Needs Circle East Midlands.

Our first 'Coffee Break' event at Tibshelf Village Hall. Huge thanks to all that volunteered, supported the fundraiser and came to the 'Sensory Break'

Coffee Break

Come and join us at Tibshelf Village Hall on 26/03/19 at 12-2pm


Join us for a coffee and a chat and the chance to meet other parents and carers of children with special needs. Your child does not need to have a diagnosis to attend. We will introduce ourselves, our services and share sensory resources that you can make at home. Children are welcome to stay and play! We aim to hold monthly coffee mornings with a different topic each month such as Sensory Stories, Behaviours that challenge and Communication. Attendance is free and refreshments will be available. Hope to see you there.

12/01/01 What an amazing week!

We have confirmed plans for a SENDsational parents and carers information event with Special Needs Circle - East Midlands, presented our Family SOS project to the Rolls Royce Rotatives Community board who have offered their support to enable us to provide more subsidised sessions for families. We have become members of the East Midlands Chamber and Derbyshire Local Offer. All the hard work and sleepless nights are paying off, our dream of making a difference is becoming a reality and we are loving every minute!
We want to say a huge thank you to our family and friends for their encouragement, Sarah Smith for her amazing guidance and support and our financial backers including Darren Hedigan and the team at Hedigan Construction, Tanbry Construction and Rolls Royce for helping our dreams come true!!

Christmas is over! Some children will have found it really difficult to cope with, the house looks different, visitors arriving, different sights, sounds and smells. We can announce that the winners of our 5 free hours of support are:  Sara Lund, Christy Price and Rachel Mellor. We were overwhelmed with the amount of nominations received. - thank you to all who contacted us. We will be announcing two families who were nominated that we would like to offer two hours of free support, later this week
